Story Walk Celebration

There are 3 StoryWalks® throughout Montgomery County, and the Farm Park is home to one trail! This summer we hosted a contest for stories to be placed on the walks. Join us as we celebrate our 2nd anniversary and StoryWalk Contest Winners! The Montco StoryWalk® contest is a collaboration between the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, Literacy Council of Norristown, Norristown Public Library and Norristown Farm Park. Tree ID Made Easy

Saturday, September 9th at 1:00 p.m. “Tree ID Made Easy” Green Lane Park Don’t know a Beech from a Birch? This is your chance to learn that and much more! We will be sharing tips for using leaves, twigs, bark and more to confidently identify native trees and shrubs. Along the way, we will share some fun facts about the history and uses of each of the species we encounter. Suitable for ages 8 to adult. Program meets at Hemlock Point Office Building (1494 Gravel Pike, Green Lane, PA 18054) Located directly behind Marlborough Elementary School. Pre-register by calling (610) 287-6970.
