  1. Amazing Turtles of PA

    Upper Schuylkill Valley Park

    Come out to the park and learn about the turtles that could be found in your own back yard. Enjoy a live animal presentation which will give you an up close view of some of the park’s resident turtles. It will be a fun experience for the whole family. This event is for all ages. Pre- registration is required by May 19th via EventBrite. Participation is limited. Weather permitting.

    Join to learn facts about our shelled reptiles including turtles and tortoises. Discover the differences and explore some animal artifacts. Elmwood Park Zoo will join us with a shelled friend! All ages; $3 donated to Elmwood Zoo Limited space - registration required. Please register for this event by contacting Rebecca at Meeting location will be provided once you register. Also reach out for directions if needed! GPS does not always take you to the right location of the park. Our educator, Rebecca can make sure you get where you need to be!

  3. Digital Scavenger Hunt at Lower Perkiomen Valley Park

    Lower Perkiomen Valley Park

    Bring your cell phone/digital cameras, your walking shoes and a good sense of observation as we send you out into the park and nearby trails to find different natural and man-made objects. Take a photo of the object, and then come back and share in order to claim a prize when you find them all! Pre-registration required by May 18th; participants should meet at the park office to start their adventure; rain or shine. All ages—children must be accompanied by an adult; .

  1. Household Hazardous Waste Collection

    The Montgomery County Household Hazardous Waste collection is free for residents to drop off household chemicals for proper disposal. Businesses and contractors will be turned away. Preregistration is required prior to attending an event. Click on the link to register for the preferred date and time. Please follow state guidelines and public health restrictions by wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing when attending an event.
