Why did I receive a registration packet from DRO?

  • If you received a registration packet from DRO by mail or by Sheriff Service, this means that another jurisdiction established a child support order against you and is now requesting that Montgomery County register the order because you have not been complying.

How do I respond to the registration packet?

  • If you are in agreement to Montgomery County registering the order, you do not need to do anything. An Order of Registration and Confirmation will be generated and signed by the Judge 20 days after you have been served. If you are not in agreement to the registration, please follow the objection instructions included within the registration packet. If you have any questions regarding the registration, please contact our Office.
