Can a foster parent apply for subsidized child care?
A foster parent can apply for subsidized child care for a foster child placed under their care. The foster parent's eligibility will not be evaluated relative to income criteria, however the non-financial eligibility requirements must be met. Foster children do not get any priority as to the receipt of funding and could be placed on a waiting list if funding is not available at the time of application.
