As a foster / adoptive parent, will I be given preference over the other potential adoptive parents if a child in my home becomes available for adoption?
The foster / adopt program was established in an effort to reduce the number of placements a child has to make while in the child welfare system and we are committed to this philosophy. However, all adoptive placements are made with careful consideration for the child's best interest. An adoption caseworker will meet with you and your family to assist in exploring the particulars of your situation.
