1. Can you find our permit for our septic system?

Sewage permit applications and designs are available if issued after 1991. Please call the Health Department location nearest you and ask for the Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO) who oversees your municipality. Prior to the inception of Office of Public Health, on-lot sewage permits were issued by local SEO working for individual municipalities. Contact your local municipality for the permit copy if issued prior to 1991.

2. May I have a sewage permit package mailed to me?

An application for site evaluation (soil probes and percolation testing) and instructions for permit application completion are available on-line. The four page carbon form PADEP sewage system application can be sent to you upon request. Please call the Office of Public Health location nearest you.

3. Who do I contact with questions about our sand mound?

If you have any questions regarding operation and maintenance of your elevated sand mound or any other type of on-lot sewage disposal system, please call the Office of Public Health location nearest you and ask for the Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO) who oversees your municipality.
