JOIN THE FALL FUN AT PENNYPACKER MILLS

Painted Pumpkins at Pennypacker Mills

Schwenksville, PA—This October, visit Pennypacker Mills to experience two free, family-friendly events and celebrate the history of Halloween. Located at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksville, PA, Pennypacker Mills is an immersive Colonial revival mansion that offers visitors a unique glimpse into the past.

Porch Performance: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

On Saturday, October 7 at 4 p.m., meet Ichabod Crane in an interactive adaptation of the classic horror tale “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving. This interactive performance will include song and dancing; audience participation is welcome! Then follow Ichabod on his fateful journey home as he meets the Headless Horseman.

Prior to the performance, the Mansion will be open for tours, with the last tour starting at 3 p.m.

Please bring a blanket or chair to sit on during the performance. All ages are welcome at this FREE, outdoor performance!

All Hallows Eve Fall Festival

On Saturday, October 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Pennypacker Mills will host its annual All Hallows Eve Fall Festival. Everyone is welcome to visit and enjoy a day of FREE fall fun. Kids will make crafts and paint pumpkins. The whole family will enjoy playing games and taking a hayride around the property. The old-fashioned fun will include corn shucking, pressing apples into cider, playing in hay piles, and much more. Everyone wearing a costume will win a prize.

The Mansion will not be open for tours. The event is FREE and open to the public.

Learn more about the history of Halloween in our September/October newsletter, Pennypacker Express.
