NORRISTOWN, PA – Montgomery County officials released the following statement regarding emergency sheltering from wildfire smoke and poor air quality for individuals experiencing homelessness .
"In response to the wildfire smoke and associated health risks, Montgomery County homeless outreach workers have spent the day offering people living outside the option of staying at a hotel or a shelter, which has been set up at St. John's Episcopal Church at 23 E. Airy Street in Norristown. We will continue to monitor air quality conditions and determine how long we will keep the emergency action in place."
