Montgomery County Launches National Search for Health and Human Services Director

NORRISTOWN, PA – Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, the third largest county in the Commonwealth, is seeking qualified applicants for its next Health and Human Services (HHS) Director.

The HHS Director is responsible for the coordination, development, direction, implementation, quality and equitable delivery of services provided by the integrated department of Health and Human Services. In addition, the Director works closely with non-profit providers, funders, community groups, County leadership and the County Commissioners.

Success in this Director of Health & Human Services role requires advanced knowledge of public health and human services programs and systems and associated compliance, working with diverse communities, experience effectively navigating governmental/political arenas, exceptional communication skills and experience fostering collaboration and robust internal and external communication systems and understanding of trauma informed care. It also requires experience developing community-based partnerships as well as public and private partnerships, an interest in the development of individuals, leadership skills, and the ability to boldly envision and implement new opportunities for programing in a complex, well-funded organization and social service/nonprofit network.
