The 32nd Annual International Spring Festival will celebrate multi-cultural diversity through the visual, culinary and performing arts of more than 30 countries and will also feature a Family Health and Wellness Fair. The ISF is one of the largest multicultural festivals in the mid-Atlantic region attracting thousands of people each year. The festival will be held on April 23, 2022, at North Penn High School, 1340 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA 19446, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free! At 11:30 am, a grand parade will kick off the festivities and at noon on the main stage, we anticipate appearances by Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, U.S. Congresswoman Madeleine Dean, Montgomery County Commissioners Val Arkoosh, Ken Lawrence and Joe Gale; Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele, Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub, State Senators Bob Mensch and Maria Collett, State Representatives Steve Malagari and Todd Stephens. Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg, Jury Commissioner Merry Woods and other elected local and state officials; members of Law Enforcement, Community, Business, and Educational leaders.
The nationally acclaimed Voloshky Ukrainian Dance Troupe and the Fralinger String Band "The Ultimate in Mummers Entertainment" will be featured, along with 40 different cultural and nationality bands, singers, and dancers, including Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance, International Ballet, Guang Hua Chinese School, Jaisohn Korean Youth Drum Team, Children of Adam Band, Latin Jazz Trio, Superheroes Unite, ArCoNet Youth and Chamber Orchestra and many more. The Family Health and Wellness Fair at the International Spring Festival, sponsored by Jefferson Health - Abington, will feature free interactive health exhibits, resource information and free health screenings from a variety of providers. Rapping About Prevention, Inc. and the North Penn YMCA will engage families in energizing, fun exercise. The Volunteer Medical Services Corps. of Lansdale will provide Hands Only CPR education and demonstrate emergency equipment. The Jaisohn Medical Center and Asian American Coalition will be providing a free Covid Vaccine clinic. Shake hands with Victor Vaccine!!! Come visit the New Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Mobile Screening Van, parked in the front parking lot, for free cancer prevention and screening information!!!
Veterans who bring DD214 can also receive free photo ID cards that can be used for discounts throughout the county, which will be issued by the staff of Jeanne Sorg, Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds. Homeowners can also sign up for the new FraudSleuth program, which is available to all Montgomery County homeowners for free. Property owners can set up their profile(s) online through the Recorder of Deeds Public Access System and receive alerts if a document is recorded against the information included in their profile.
There are many fun and educational activities for children, including trying on culture-specific attire and costumes and playing with musical instruments from various countries. The Passport Program is an activity in which kids learn facts about different countries and upon completion of the program, they have a chance to create art as well as win prizes.
