Montgomery County Hosting Walk-up Hiring Event for Correctional Officers on Saturday, August 21

NORRISTOWN, PA – The Montgomery County Correctional Facility and the Montgomery County Department of Human Resources are inviting interested candidates for the role of correctional officer to a walk-up hiring event this Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Event Location: Community Corrections Building
60 Eagleville Road
Eagleville PA, 19403

No pre-registration is needed, job applications will be available on site. Free parking is available at the facility. All visitors must check-in with security at the main gate. Anyone interested in applying should show up with a resume and I.D. if they have one.

Among other qualifications, correctional officers must pass a background check and be available to work assigned shifts of twelve hours on a two week rotation. Shifts start at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. For a full job description, click here.

For those unable to make the hiring event, applications are available online or in person at the Montgomery County Department of Human Resources located at One Montgomery Plaza, 425 Swede Street, 7th Floor, Norristown, PA 19401. All applications must be emailed to Barry Martin, bmartin2@montcopa.org or returned in person to the Human Resources Office.

Upon successful hire, correctional officers receive generous benefits through Montgomery County that include competitive wages starting at $41,718 per year, tuition reimbursement, excellent health care benefits, County pension, and paid time off.
