Masks Required to Enter Recorder of Deeds Office

masks August

Montgomery County is seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases once again. We are in this together to lessen the spread of the virus, therefore, as of Monday, August 16, we are requiring all visitors to our office, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a face mask.

If you prefer not to wear a mask, we accept documents for recording through our four erecording partners or via UPS, FedEx and USPS. If you want to drop documents for our office and don’t plan on waiting for them, you can utilize our drop box, located in the lobby of One Montgomery Plaza just past security.

Notaries can continue to come into our office to be sworn in, or can choose to complete to process online. There is a $25 convenience fee to be sworn in virtually. To sign up for a virtual swearing in time slot, click here.
