The Montgomery County Correctional Facility and the Montgomery County Department of Human Resources announced they are seeking qualified applicants for the role of correctional officer. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply by Friday, August 6 for consideration at an upcoming career event.
Among other qualifications, correctional officers must be available to work assigned shifts of twelve hours on a two week rotation, scheduled off every other weekend. Shifts start at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. For a full job description, click here.
Applications are available online or in person at the Montgomery County Department of Human Resources located at One Montgomery Plaza, 425 Swede Street, 7th Floor, Norristown, PA 19401. All applications must be emailed to Barry Martin, bmartin2@montcopa.org or returned in person to the Human Resources Office.
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. After screening, if a candidate is chosen to move forward in the process, they will be invited to an appointment-only career event on Saturday, August 21 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
