For this week only, the County has received a double shipment of the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) one-shot vaccine equaling 21,000 doses. This is in addition to 5,850 doses of Pfizer the County receives weekly. This additional vaccine will help the County move quickly through its existing 1A pre-registration list and allow the County to open Phase 1B appointments later this week or early next week.
"With our increased supply of vaccine, we are finally able to expand our clinic locations," said Dr. Valerie A. Arkoosh, Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. "I am extremely pleased to announce we will open two new sites this Friday, April 9, one in Pottstown and one in Lansdale. We also have additional locations in Norristown borough and King of Prussia coming soon."

Vaccine Pre-registration with Other Providers: There are a number of other providers in the County and region that are receiving the vaccine. Residents can look these up on the PA Department of Health (DOH) vaccine provider map as they change weekly. Each site has its own registration process that is separate from the County. The Montgomery County Office of Public Health does not distribute vaccines to these locations and does not have any control over how the vaccine is distributed. The PA DOH distributes the vaccine directly to them. Wherever a resident goes to receive their first dose of vaccine is where they need to go to get their second dose.
