“Spring Beauties – the Wildflowers” Walk
Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1 p.m.
After a long winter, April brings a splash of color to the forest floor in the form of wildflowers. Join us for a closer look at these short-lived beauties as we learn tricks for identifying the plants. We will also share some fun facts and folklore about each of the flowers. This program is free of charge, and is suitable for ages 8 and up. Pre-registration is required, call (215) 234-4528 to reserve your space. “Earlybird Walk”
Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 8 a.m.
Bring binoculars and join us for a look at early spring migrants and migration. Now is the time for our earliest songbird migrants, plus raptors and other species. You will soon see why Green Lane Park is a premier destination for birds and birders alike! This program is free of charge, and is suitable for ages 12 and up. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, group sizes will be limited, masks and social distancing are required.
ABOUT GREEN LANE PARK
Green Lane Park, in northwestern Montgomery County, offers a variety of year-round, outdoor activities and programs for people to choose from. Park visitors can enjoy fishing, boating (including boat rentals), family and group camping, picnicking, 25 miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking, as well as two children’s playgrounds. Winter enthusiasts can cross-country ski, ice fish or go ice skating, weather permitting. The park also offers summer concerts and family-oriented, environmental education programs on weekends. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to sunset.
