Pursuant to Governor Wolf’s December 10 Protective Mitigation Efforts Order, Montgomery County is closing all historic site buildings to the public effective 12:01 am on Saturday, December 12th until the order’s expiration on January 4th, 2021.

County historic sites include Pennypacker Mills in Schwenksville, Pottsgrove Manor in Pottstown, Peter Wentz Farmstead in Worcester, and Mill Grove Historic Site in Audubon. While all buildings will be closed to all visitors at County historic sites, outdoor areas at these sites and throughout the County Parks system will remain open according to normal schedule to visitors with guidelines established in the Governor’s order (outdoor gatherings over 50 persons prohibited, and mask use and distancing requirements remain in effect).

County staff at our historic sites continue to produce virtual tours and other remotely accessible materials that we are proud to have available to anyone looking to learn more about Montgomery County history during this time. We look forward to re-starting visitation of our historic sites once it is deemed safe to do so. Please follow these sites on Facebook to stay updated:
