While microfilm and microfiche continue to be a strong preservation medium, the Recorder of Deeds office is committed to the preservation and modernization of county records.
“The new machines will more effectively digitize and maintain the older records in our office by converting the films to high-quality digital files,” said Jeanne Sorg, Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds.
Digital data forms mean these records will be preserved in a portable, more easily accessible and searchable format.
