The Montgomery Awards Program, which is celebrating 50 years of excellence, has presented 196 awards since its beginning in 1967. This prestigious annual program promotes outstanding design, innovative planning, and leadership in Montgomery County. Our 2017 nomination period is open, and we are looking for the best in planning, design, and advocacy in Montgomery County. Nominate a land development project for a Montgomery Award or a person or organization that has significantly contributed to advancing planning in Montgomery County for a Planning Advocate Award. This year, we are pleased to partner with the Montgomery County Conservation District, which will present a 2017 Environmental Stewardship Award as part of the Montgomery Awards Program. This award recognizes a project, completed in the past three years, which exemplifies the practices of environmental stewardship and conservation for water and soil quality. All nominations are due by May 12, 2017.
