1. On November 18, 2016, the National Honor Society of Harriton High School will be delivering Thanksgiving Food Baskets to our office to support 100 needy families with the Office of Children & Youth. This is the fourth year that Harriton is collecting non-perishable food items for families. Along with the food baskets, each family is provided by the students with a grocery store gift card for purchase of a turkey, ham, or other food item to complete their holiday meal. Providing the Thanksgiving baskets not only affords families a holiday meal that they would otherwise do without, it also provides families with the opportunity for quality family time together that is often lacking for so many needy families today. The high school students load up a truck with the food baskets and board a school bus to personally deliver the baskets to the Office of Children & Youth.
