Guidelines and Special Use Applications for County Properties
Montgomery County reserves the right to deny or cancel any event due to public safety concerns (illegal/dangerous activity, ongoing construction, severe weather) or County needs. Due to demand, rain dates are not given. Event organizers must re-apply for a new date in the event of cancellation.
Montgomery County welcomes public use of select properties for events and gatherings. Individuals and/or organizations must apply for a Special Use Permit or other appropriate permit to utilize any County-owned/leased property including County-owned parks, trails and historic sites.
Fill out this form to request space at the following locations:
- Montgomery County Courthouse - Swede St. steps, the corner of Airy & Swede Streets in Norristown, PA 19401 *
- One Montgomery Plaza - Plaza and steps, 425 Swede Street, Norristown, PA 19401 *
- Airy Street Lot - On the corner of Airy and DeKalb Streets, 45 East Airy Street, Norristown, PA 19401*
- Markley Street Lot - 550 Markley Street, Norristown, PA 19401*
*These are outdoor locations. Tents are not provided in the event of inclement weather.
To reserve space at one of the County's parks, trails or historic sites, click here. Before applying to hold an event on any of our Parks, Trails & Historic Sites, please read the Addendum Regarding Alcoholic Beverages.
Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and are required 30 day before the date of the event. Prior to use, read all Terms and Conditions in full.
Once the application is approved, applicants will be notified via email within 10 days of the approval status and if any other action is required (i.e. licenses, municipal permits, etc.).
All County sites covered by this application are ADA accessible. All events held on County sites covered by this application are open to the public. Street parking is available for these sites and is subject to municipal parking regulations.
