School Safety Program

The Law Enforcement Division's School Safety Program assists and supports all public and non-public county schools, institutions of higher education, houses of worship, and hospitals in establishing and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy learning and work environment. Staff are available to perform on-site safety and security assessments by request.

Pennsylvania Title 35 states that every school district in cooperation with the local emergency management agency shall develop and implement emergency preparedness plans. Below is a link to the School Planning Tool Kit presented by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. Also included are various links that are designed to assist in the creation of a school emergency operations plan.

When submitting plans or other documents or with any questions, please contact School Safety Coordinator Matt Roberto at matthew.roberto@montgomerycountypa.gov or School Safety Specialist Don Fantry at donald.fantry@montgomerycountypa.gov
