Montco StoryWalk®

Montco Story Walk

StoryWalks® feature pages of a children’s book spread along a trail that is less than a mile in length. This innovative idea promotes literacy, physical activity, and being outdoors. It can also be a great way to complete the Montco Trail Challenge!

The Montco StoryWalk® is featured at three locations:

Norristown Farm Park, East Norriton

Pennypacker Mills, Schwenksville - Temporarily closed - will return Spring 2024

  • The Montco StoryWalk® begins at the lower parking lot, to the left of the driveway’s entrance.
  • This StoryWalk® follows the paved driveway for a quarter mile to the Pennypacker Mansion. A round-trip walk would equal a half mile.

Trail Junction Center, Norristown - Temporarily closed - will return Spring 2024

  • The Montco StoryWalk® begins and ends on the Schuylkill River Trail, with most of the story on the Chester Valley Trail connector, approximately 1/10 mile.
  • Use address: 76 E. Lafayette St. Norristown, PA 19401. Parking can be found on Lafayette Street or the SEPTA parking garage

Stories at each location will change every two months.
