Fishing at Green Lane Park

Fishing and Boating are popular outdoor activities at Green Lane Park. The park has three bodies of water (Green Lane Reservoir-814 acres, Deep Creek Lake-38 acres and Knight Lake-18 acres) available for fishing, two of which (Green Lane Reservoir & Deep Creek Lake) are also available for boating. In addition, there’s approximately 2 miles of the Perkiomen Creek available for shoreline fishing. The reservoir is owned by Aqua PA, which through an agreement with Montgomery County, allows visitors to use the lake for certain, restricted activities.
Fishing
There are many opportunities to catch a variety of fish in Green Lane Park. Green Lane Reservoir has both Largemouth and Smallmouth bass, Channel catfish, Yellow perch, White perch, crappie, Bluegills and Carp. Deep Creek Lake is stocked with trout, but also has a good population of Largemouth bass, crappie, Bluegill and Channel and Flathead catfish. Anglers trying their luck in Knight Lake may hook Largemouth or Smallmouth bass, Yellow perch, Bluegill, Channel catfish and Carp. If you cast into the waters of the Perkiomen Creek, you may catch Smallmouth bass, an occasional trout, Channel or Flathead catfish, Rock bass, Redbreast sunfish and Carp. When safe ice conditions allow, ice fishing is permitted on Deep Creek Lake only. In addition, the park also stocks a small stretch of the Perkiomen Creek, north of the reservoir, with Trout, for delayed harvest-fly fishing only. All Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission laws apply on all three lakes and the Perkiomen Creek.
