Keep Montgomery County healthy and safe and help us build a network of volunteer AmVAXadors. What is an AmVAXador? An AmVAXador is someone who educates Montgomery County communities about the COVID-19 vaccines.
What will an AmVAXador do?
An AmVAXador helps distribute accurate and timely COVID-19 vaccine information by sharing social content, informational flyers, videos, and updates with your friends, family, neighbors, peer, and social networks.
Who are we looking for?
Individuals who are passionate about people in their community getting the COVID-19 vaccine and willing to share COVID-19 vaccine information from credible sources.
What is the time commitment?
We need people who can volunteer a few minutes each week to help keep Montgomery County healthy and safe.

National Hispanic Heritage Month – September 15 to October 15, 2023
Every year, National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15. This year, during National Hispanic Heritage Month, the Montgomery County Immunization Coalition (MCIC) will focus on bringing attention to the importance of staying up to date on all recommended vaccines. MCIC worked with our partner organizations to create bilingual social media images and messages that you can use on your social media platforms to encourage our communities to stay up to date on all recommended vaccines during National Hispanic Heritage Month.

NEW Additional Bivalent Booster Dose for 65+ Social Media Images in 6 languages!
MCIC is thrilled to collaborate with our partner organizations, Jaison Center and ACLAMO, to translate social media images on the recent change to COVID-19 vaccine recommendations for adults 65+. Anyone 65 and older can get an additional bivalent vaccine dose at least 4 months following their last bivalent dose. We now have culturally and linguistically competent images in 6 languages you can use to educate and outreach to your communities.

With Flu activity elevated across our county, MCIC is calling for all hands on deck to get out the message that it is not too late to get your flu shot.
