With the Montco Crime Tips program, you have the power to help keep your community safe by providing law enforcement with information anonymously. Now you can anonymously text your tips about any type of criminal activity as easily as you send a text to a friend. And you can also attach photos or videos. Each crime tip goes directly to the 9-1-1 Communications Center for dispatch of police or firefighters immediately or for non-emergent information, to the Montgomery County Detective Bureau for vetting and distribution to the appropriate law enforcement agency.

“Report or Message”

Use the STOPit mobile app to anonymously report incidents to law enforcement. Reporting is completely anonymous. You can include text, images and video. It only takes a few seconds, right from your mobile phone. This program makes it easy to do the right thing!

Report Incidents Such As:

Drug dealing
Tips related to an active crime that law enforcement is investigating
Suspicious activity
Violence or threats
Weapons

With STOPit Messenger, you can have a real-time, two-way, anonymous dialogue with law enforcement. This allows Montgomery County 9-1-1 Dispatchers to ask you questions about your report and make sure they have the information they need to proceed with your tip.
