Courses are offered in multiple formats and are labeled as such in the Training Schedule:
- Online: 100% virtual
- In-person: 100% in-person
- Hybrid: combination of online and in-person class sessions
Unless otherwise noted, classes held on weekdays (Monday-Thursday) run from 6:45 PM until 10:45 PM and classes held on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) run from 8:15 AM until 4:45 PM.
Fees are listed on the training schedule for each course. In most cases, Montgomery County firefighters will receive a discount (second column) over the "out of county" price (first column). All fees listed are for Pennsylvania residents. Students who are not Pennsylvania residents should call (610) 278-3500 and ask to speak with the Registrar concerning course fees. Fees are subject to change.

Students must register at least 10 calendar days prior to the scheduled start date of training. Registrations received less than 10 days before the start date of training are accepted at the discretion of the Training Coordinator.
Students starting the Pennsylvania Entry Level Fire Fighter Curriculum must also submit a completed Medical Release Form.
All courses are subject to change based on enrollment, instructor availability, and other factors. Any class without a minimum of 15 registered students may be canceled at the discretion of the course coordinator. Students enrolled in a course that must be rescheduled, modified, or canceled will be notified via the e-mail address provided on the registration form.
The online schedule will be updated throughout the semester if any changes need to be made. The printer-friendly course schedule will not be updated.

PA Act 155 of 2022
The minimum age to register for Interior Firefighter (ELIF, MCFA #4004) has been reduced from 18 to 17, as long as parent/guardian AND fire chief consent is received. The parent/guardian and fire chief consent form (Act 155 Permission Form) will be required at the time of registration. Without proper consent, the minimum age will remain at 18.
