Meet the Community Connections Staff
Annette (Navicate)
Annette has been working with Community Connections since its inception in March of 2013. She holds Masters’ degrees in Psychology and Education and has experience working in the fields of mental health, domestic violence, education, and small business. Annette is a Pennsylvania native and works out of the Lansdale office of Community Connections. To Annette, being a Navicate is a privilege that allows her to help Montgomery County residents with questions and concerns they are experiencing and move them in a positive direction by providing resources, for which they qualify, with the goal of making daily life better. Annette believes it is important for residents to know that Community Connections wants to hear from you and that no question is too big or too small. In her free time, Annette enjoys working in the garden, sharing a meal with friends and family, discussing good books or articles, and walking with her two adorable dogs.
Darrell (Navicate)
Darrell has been with Community Connections since 2015 after previously working as an Assessor in the Office of Senior Services (formerly the Office of Aging and Adult Services) for 16 years. Darrell has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from Wilkes College and a Masters in Religious Education from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Darrell hails from the Wyoming Valley area of PA and works out of the Pottstown office. To Darrell, being a Navicate gives him the opportunity to use his talents and knowledge to help those who are struggling with life’s challenges, whatever they may be. What he would like residents to know is that Navicates will do their best to make the right connections for you as long as you are willing to work with them and take a journey together. Have you listened to WBRX, Berwick, PA or WBYO/WBYN, Boyertown radio in the past? Then you may have heard Darrell as a radio announcer. You can hear his voice now on Montco’s ReadyRadio.
Lynne (Navicate)
Lynne has been a part of Community Connections since 2017 after working in the Office of Senior Services (formerly the Office of Aging and Adult Services). After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Lynne spent time working in the fields of retail management, teaching, and social work. She works out of the Norristown office. To Lynne, being a Navicate means being a liaison, as the role entails helping consumers streamline and focus their needs to connect to the most relative and helpful resources or solutions. Something that she believes the community would benefit from knowing is that Community Connections is available, easily accessible, and that more should reach out for services.
Theresa (Navicate)
Theresa started her time with Community Connections in 2013 after working in the Early Learning Resource Center (formerly Child Care Information Services) as a Consumer Education Outreach Specialist for many years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and has over 25 years of experience as a human services advocate with various organizations. Theresa works out of the Willow Grove office and hails from North Carolina. To Theresa, being a Navicate means having the skills and heart to help address and meet the needs of residents, and reaching to all areas of the County to share this knowledge. She believes it is important that residents know that Community Connections is here to advocate and serve our communities and that the Navicates will not give up until they have reached consumer expectations by answering their questions and complaints in a helpful and professional manner. Outside of work, Theresa likes to spend as much time as possible with her friends and family, vacationing, and having a “splish-splash” of fun in the sun.
Victoria (Navicate)
Tori has been with Community Connections since December of 2017. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice, she spent time working as a Constituent Outreach Specialist with a PA State Representative’s office. Tori works out of the Pottstown office and grew up in Upper Pottsgrove Township. To Tori, being a Navicate means being whatever the consumer needs you to be in the moment: problem-solver, resource locator, crisis de-escalator, and great listener. It is about quickly locating what the consumer needs at that moment and going forward to better their lives. Community Connections is a great one-stop shop for all health and human services needs. Outside of work, Tori spends a lot of her free time competing locally at shows as well as trail rides with her horse and is an avid hiker.
Christy (Navicate)
Christy has been working with Community Connections since December 2022. Christy previously worked with older youth aging out of the foster care system for 15 years, the last 7 years with the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth as an Independent Living Coordinator.
