Overview
Montgomery County is a designated conservation district and, therefore, responsible for the conservation of the soil, water, and other resources of Pennsylvania. The Conservation District is a local unit of government that ensures the control of floods, prevention of soil erosion, implementation of storm water management, and preserves the quality of dams, reservoirs, harbors, air, wildlife, and public land.
