Mission Statement
To provide thorough, accurate, and expert assessment, referral and linkage of all Public Defender clients to community-based programs and services. The Public Defender's social services unit impacts our clients beyond the scope of the justice system. In carrying out this mission, social services strives to understand our clients and expand citizens’ engagement with community resources. We enable our clients to overcome barriers to success while improving individual and family functioning.
