Victim/Witness Lounge

The District Attorney’s “Victim/Witness Lounge” opened in 2011 during National Crime Victims' Rights Week, following extensive renovations funded by state grants. The lounge provides a comfortable, secure and confidential space for witnesses and victims of all ages who come to the District Attorney’s Office for interviews or case preparation or are subpoenaed to testify at trial. The lounge creates a soothing environment that calms and reassures victims in an otherwise highly stressful situation. Comfortable furniture, children’s games, age-appropriate books, magazines, a flat screen TV and DVD player with movies are available for all guests.
