Protection From Abuse (PFA)

To file a Protection from Abuse petition, you must appear in person any day Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. This allows you ample time to see the judge. To qualify for a Protection from Abuse order, there must be either a family relationship or an intimate relationship with the person from whom you want to file for protection. The Protection from Abuse Department is located on the first floor of the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown.
