Assets & Infrastructure

The Department of Assets and Infrastructure is responsible for the efficient management of Montgomery County’s physical assets. Comprised of a number of divisions, the department provides the County with a network of safe, healthy and attractive properties including 40 buildings, 6,000 acres of public open space, 90 miles of trails, 133 bridges and 75 miles of roads. The Department of Assets and Infrastructure is customer-oriented and strives to provide quick and effective service to both County residents and employees.

    Montgomery County Roads and Bridges Department announced today that Lutheran Road Bridge (#163) in New Hanover Township is now open to vehicular traffic for the start of the school year.

    County Announces Road Closure for Upcoming Infrastructure Improvements in New Hanover Township

    A detour will begin on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 on Swamp Pike between New Hanover Square Road and Ridge Pike. The detour is necessary to reconstruct the Swamp Pike Bridge (Bridge 166) to ensure it is structurally sound and safe for motorists.
